Ian Gardner

Ian Gardner has worked for the National Trust for Scotland for the past 13 years in a variety of marketing and commercial roles. Prior to that, he worked for 5 years for Edinburgh City Museums where he was part of the curatorial and management team at the ever-popular Museum of Childhood.

On behalf of the Trust, Ian is actively involved in a number of tourism bodies including the board of the Association of Scottish Visitor Attractions and the board of the Scottish Tourism Forum, where he is vice-chairman. He is also a member of the Overseeing Committee for VisitScotland's Quality Assurance scheme for visitor attractions, a member of ETAG (Edinburgh Tourism Action Group) and chairs the Ancestral Tourism Initiative steering group.
