Mandy Exley

Mandy has been involved in Further Education Training for over 20 years.  She started her career as a psychology lecturer and progressed to management posts throughout the College sector in England, to the level of Vice Principal. She has worked in large inner city colleges in Birmingham and Stoke and also large rural colleges in Gloucestershire.

Having left the sector in England in 2000, Mandy moved to Scotland and bought a small hotel on the shores of Loch Tay whilst continuing to work as a consultant in the college sector, largely in the field of Leadership and Management.

Her experience of the hospitality sector has been one of the most challenging learning experiences of her career.  Now have some small idea of what it feels like to be an SME, Mandy was responsible for the development at Perth College of the Business Development Centre, bringing together the colleges work with respect to SMEs and work based learning more generally.

Mandy was appointed Principal of Perth College in January 2006.

Mandy is a Director of the Perthshire Chamber of Commerce and is a member of the Councils Community Planning Partnership, an avid support of VisitScotland and keen advocate of the importance of vocational education and training.
