Willie Macleod
Willie Macleod is a director of Wilson-Macleod Consulting Limited, an Edinburgh based consultancy which specialises in tourism, hospitality and economic development. Between 2001 - 2008 he held two directorships at VisitScotland - Visitor Services & Quality and Industry Services.
He is no stranger to consultancy, having previously been Regional Director in Scotland for SQW Consulting Limited, a Cambridge based firm of economic development, management and public policy consultants and Associate Director responsible for tourism, leisure and arts consultancy at PricewaterhouseCoopers. Before entering consultancy he worked at the Scottish Tourist Board (now VisitScotland) in the tourist industry advisory service, product development and on a number of marketing initiatives. His earlier career involved posts in hotel general management with Forte PLC and a number of private hospitality companies.
Willie is a Trustee of the New Lanark Conservation Trust (a World Heritage Site) and sits on the boards of two subsidiary trading companies - New Lanark Hotels Limited and New Lanark Trading Limited. He is also a non-executive director of Lennoxlove House Limited.

Born in Glasgow, he lives in Edinburgh with his wife Diane. He spends his free time maintaining and sailing his 12metre yacht on the Scottish west coast.
