about the tourism innovation group

Formed in 2002, the Tourism Innovation Group (TiG) was a private-sector led group, which aimed to stimulate tourism operators into taking action to add to the quality, scope and success of tourism businesses, improving Scotland's competitiveness in tourism markets - in other words, to INNOVATE!  This meant doing things differently, exploring new avenues, effectively and taking risks.

Following considerable success the groups funded period came to end resulting in the closing of the TiG office. The group itself is working to provide views and opinions to support the work of the Tourism Leadership Group under the chair of Stephen Leckie, MD Crieff Hydro.
A considerable amount of material relating to TiG’s activities and membership is still active and can be accessed through either contacting Tourism Intelligence Scotland or the STF offices.
