Information on Scottish Tourism Week 2007, which took place from 12th-16th March and which featured events designed to enhance links between private sector operators and the elected and public sectors, is below.

One of the focal points of the week was the Welcome to Tourism day which took place across Scotland on Friday 16th March with a range of events, including;
- A challenge to politicians to visit tourism businesses in their area
- 'Back to the Floor' - involved tourism managers rolling up their sleeves to work alongside front line staff.
- Businesses also opened their doors to local schools, college students and work returners to help promote careers in the industry.
- A focus on recruitment and retention.
