Catherine Holden
Catherine has been Director of Marketing and Development at National Museums Scotland since 2004. With a team of 20 she is responsible for marketing and raising funds for the five National Museums, contributing to the organisation’s strategic development, and managing its public profile and internal communications. Catherine previously held senior communications roles at the Natural History Museum, at Tate and at the National Theatre in London, following initial marketing training in the commercial sector. She sits on the board of the Edinburgh Art Festival and the Fruitmarket Gallery, is a member of Edinburgh Tourism Action Group and the Association of Leading Visitor Attractions, and has taught various courses for young marketers. She grew up in Worcestershire and has a First in English Literature from Oxford University.
