Partnership, the co-ordinated, collaborative approach

The past year has seen collaboration between public, private and elected sectors, working more closely than ever before.  It is clear that if the industry works collaboratively, with clear leadership, more can be delivered.

Iain Smith MSP, Convenor of the Economy, Energy and Tourism Committee will open the conference.

There will be a Tourism Question Time, chaired by Ian Gardner, Vice Chair of STF where delegates are encouraged to put questions to the panel.

  • Graeme Ambrose, Executive Director, Destination Loch Ness will discuss the development of the Destination Marketing Organisation. 
  • Julie Trevisan Hunter, Marketing Manager, The Scotch Whisky Experience, will discuss with delegates how their innovative methods led them to be finalists in the 2009 Scottish Thistle Awards for Innovation.
  • Catherine Bunn, Highland Campervan, will discuss how her entrepreneurial skills led them to win the 2009 Scottish Thistle Awards for Young Tourism Entrepreneur.
  • Anne Frew, Curriculum Manager, North Highland College and John Simpson, Hotel Manager, Burghfield House Hotel; will update delegates on the new hospitality training hotel - Burghfield House Hotel.
  • Chris McCoy, Equality and Diversity Manager, VisitScotland will discuss the potential of the accessible market for Scotland.

Non-member Fees:
