Riddell Graham, VisitScotland

I am responsible for managing VisitScotland's strategic partnership activity across a wide range of key stakeholders including the Scottish Government, Corporate Scotland and major public and private sector organizations and the media.

My team coordinates production of VisitScotland's corporate strategy, business plan, policies and research activity in a wide ranging development portfolio.  The team also has responsibility for European funding, growth fund, sustainable tourism, sector engagement and national investment activity.

I was born and educated in Galashiels in the Scottish Borders. I now live in Roxburgh a small village near Kelso with my partner Fiona, a secondary school teacher and her two sons.  I have one son, Euan who lives in the United States.  I have a BSc in Ecological Science from Edinburgh University and an HND in Business Studies. My early career working for Borders Regional Council moved between project officer posts in public transport and countryside access. I started working in tourism on 1979 as assistant tourist officer with Borders Council and then through the ranks and a host of related jobs to Chief Executive of Scottish Borders Tourist Board, a post I held from 1996 to 2005.  I have worked for VisitScotland since 2005.
