Julie heads the media, marketing and promotional activities at the Scotch Whisky Experience and is also involved in running whisky tastings as a senior member of the tasting panel.
Having graduated from the University of Edinburgh with a BA(Hons) in French and Italian and initially joined the Scotch Whisky Experience to make use of her language skills. She began her career with the centre as a tour guide but rapidly progressed to the operations department and looked after the tasting bar and corporate events before taking her current position in marketing nine years ago.
Julie is a Keeper of the Quaich, chairs the Scottish Field whisky challenge and sits on the annual tasting panel. She frequently hosts journalists and media visits and represents “Scotch Whisky” in VisitScotland’s European campaign; Real Scots.
In her spare time Julie enjoys horse riding, cycling and trying to keep up with her 3 year old daughter.
